The Way He Looks at Me!
Yay! I can finally tell you (if you didn't already know)! I published another book! I've been keeping it a secret so I could surprise my family with it for Christmas, which is what I did last year with In the Heart of an Unsocial Butterfly. This year it was so much harder.
In about September, I started jonesing to publish again. I started writing The Way He Looks at Me like two and a half years ago, and I thought it was about time I decided it was done. I realized my cousin and her boyfriend would be perfect fot the cover, and when I asked her about it, she agreed right away, so there we had it. This was going to happen.
We had a little photo shoot in October, and it was actually a really nice day, weather wise. In the context of enjoyment, I didn't have a doubt it would be a good day.
My mom took about 200 pictures of them, basically all of them were really perfect, and it was just really hard for me to pick a cover. But I chose right. It looks gorgeous.
So, I gave it to my family for Christmas, then I released it at midnight on New Years, which I loved. My judgement was questioned on that decision, but you know what? It was what I wanted, and I enjoyed it, and I'm glad that I stuck to it. I spent New Year's Eve at my grandparents with a good amount of my family, had a toast right before midnight as we watched Dick Clark's Rocking New Year's Eve, then at 12:00 on the nose, I pressed publish and started the New Year off with a new book.
